I have chosen to show a selection of different pieces of work. I feel these show a wide variety of skills and experimentation. I love to draw and I am constantly trying to incorporate this into my colour and fabric work. I take inspiration from everything around me and I am constantly looking for new ideas for textured designs and prints. This course really caught my eye, as there is an opportunity to learn and experiment with a wide range of textile techniques before progressing on to specialise in your chosen area. There is also the opportunity to work with respected and experienced practicing textile designers in a new and creative space. The course is set in a busy and exciting city, which is notable for it’s culture, art and music scene, thus only enhancing the opportunity to study at Manchester School of Art.
